"Photography for me is all about waiting for the right conditions to come together and then capturing that moment"
Welcome to my Website
I am a professional photographer based in Essex. I have two photographic rules: firstly I do not do weddings, and secondly, I do not obey photographic rules. Instead of worrying about positioning of horizon lines, lumps of debris supposed to be foreground interest ( or foreground distraction as I call them ) and all the other constraints, I simply trust my own photographic eye. I personally believe that if you adhere to the stock photographic rules, then you will stifle your own individuality.
I am inspired by the natural elements and believe the key to obtaining many of my images is an understanding of meteorology, which I have always been interested in. I love stormy seas and I often go out in atrocious weather when most other people stay indoors. This can mean waiting a long time for the right conditions to occur, but always worth the wait.
I do use certain elements of Photoshop to get the best out of my photographs, but still firmly believe that you need a good image to start with.
And yes, I do usually get wet taking the storm pictures !
Please enjoy and feel free to comment in my guestbook
