Leggy is moulting heavily towards 4th-winter with chunks of the secondaries missing, as well as outer primaries still growing. Immaturity is very evident still, indicated by the brown colouration of various coverts, tail and primary feathers. Also the bill colour indicates immaturity. The development of heavy flecking around the head and hindneck reflect winter plumage.
